The 737 300 & 500 Bootstrap Kit for CFM56-3 Engines, P/N CFT 71003, is designed specifically to aid in the installation and removal of CFM56-3 engines from the 737 aircraft.  The kit consists of a center box, forward inboard arms, rear inboard and outboard attachment brackets, pulleys, cable assembly, dynamometers, chain falls, and stand attachment brackets.  Each bootstrap kit is manufactured with the focus on quality to assure safe lifting and handling during the engine installation or removal process.

The center box, arms, and attachment brackets are flux welded using either A500 or A36 carbon structural steel components.  All pins and related hardware are precision CNC machined using 4130 carbon steel or 17-4 stainless steel.  The kit is painted using epoxy based paint per customer requirements.  Yellow is the standard color; however customized colors are available at no extra charge.

Each bootstrap kit is load tested to 2.0 times working factor utilizing NIST certified gauges to assure each component meets quality standards prior to shipment.  Additionally, dye penetrant or mag particle inspections are performed on welds prior to and following load testing.
