The MD-80 Nose Weight Ballast, P/N CFT NB 3000, is designed specifically to maintain the MD-80 aircraft center of gravity by adding 3000 pounds of nose weight.

The nose weight ballast is constructed of either lead or high density concrete as specified by the customer.

Each MD-80 Nose Weight Ballast is load tested to 1.5 times proof load utilizing NIST certified gauges to assure each ballast weight meets quality standards prior to shipment.
